The
contrast in scenery is amazing. This was a common sight at times, though this
is grown for cooking oil. Alcohol and marijuana are illegal, but seem to be
the two things most readily available from the Police...

You
can't get lost on the highway. Even if you wanted to, it's signposted and basically
just goes in one direction. It's just that everything is 'Something' bad.
It's
not all beautiful scenery. Many areas are like this - sometimes it is monotonous.
The Chinese side had many places like this, but also had the most spectacular
scenery - Karakuli Lake area, Ghez Canyon.
