Life in Australia
Last Job

Left my job in May of 2001 to go travelling indefinately. Couldn't afford to just travel, so decided to work to fund my way around.

So what did I do? Probably not as much of my job as I wanted to, but still had a hell of a time doing it.

It was a hard life...
One of the perks. F/A-18 Hornet. RAAF Williamtown, NSW. Around '96 or '97
I was an Air Defence Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. I can honestly say that I have never enjoyed a job as much as this one - well, it's not a job really, it's a lifestyle. A cliche, but true.
Can't explain what I did (no, it's not a secret). When I do, many people think I was in the Army, then when I try to involve aircraft, they then think I was a Pilot (of course there are only pilots in the Air Force). It was a bloody fun lifestyle..
I'm the better looking one on the right

Hindsight

Well, that was some time ago. Regrets at leaving a top job? Very few. Whilst I loved the job (lifestyle), the decision to sell everything, pack up to work and travel is a decision I wonder why I took so long to make.

The rollercoaster ride that started with the RAAF has continued with this lifestyle, and has exceeded expectations.

...there is no moral to the story, it's just a bunch of stuff that happened...
