Well, life in China has not really been that hard. There are challenges, but they are mainly to do with getting my students to speak.

Students are very afraid of loosing face, therefore they will not talk in class. Can be tiresome, but that's the challenge.

Making friends is relatively easy. Meeting fellow Lao Wai's (foreigners) and locals is no problem. This is at a student's house (Cissy) who is in blue sitting next to me.
Whatever you can get back home, well, you can mostly get it here, except dental floss and deodorant, they are a little difficult.
